Grow for the green
A garden requires patient labor and attention. Plants do not grow merely to satisfy ambitions or to fulfill good intentions. They thrive because someone expended effort on them.

Patience is the gold of time
There is a proverb that goes “all good things come to those who wait.” It is a well known saying which holds a lot of truth. But, I have come to learn, it is a saying that is flawed, in that it is incomplete.
Waiting alone is not enough. Good things do not come to those who wait. Good things come to those who wait, but who also actively do something about their situation whilst they are waiting. If waiting was all it took to have good things in life everyone could achieve their dreams because waiting is effortless. Good things rarely come effortlessly.

Bonsai nursery in Taipei
I had the opportunity to visit Mr. Chang-Hsing Ho's Bonsai nursery in Taipei. This is on the north side of the city, in a very pretty area not too far from the Grand Hotel. It was raining when we visited and there was no information available to describe the Bonsai. Although the people there were very friendly I wasn't able to learn much about the trees. The Bonsai were massive and impressive, with lots of deadwood.

All About Plants
It is clear for all to see that plants and foliage can look beautiful, and really brighten a space. Indoors and outdoors, plants play a big part in our everyday lives. However, the true impact of plants in interiors goes far beyond the aesthetics, providing benefits to health and wellbeing, productivity and financial savings.
Research into indoor plants has proven that:
•Plants improve the efficiency of the workplace
•Plants reduce absenteeism by reducing the effects of "Sick Building Syndrome"
•Plants improve the quality of the environment
•Plants reduce noise levels
•Plants lower stress levels
•Plants conserve energy by creating a micro-climate
•Plants give structure to an office area and help to guide people around

Plants improve well-being and mental health of recovering patients
Recent research published in the academic journal, HortScience (USA Publication) finds that indoor plants have a positive effect on rehab patients.
The research carried out in Norway with 436 coronary patients found that indoor plants in communal areas of a rehabilitation centre had a positive effect on self-reported well-being and mental health of the patients.
